The other day, at six in the morning, I was on my way to jazz band, driving in the dark in the rain, and my sister was in the car next to me ... all of a sudden, I said, &amp;quot;Oh, wow ...&amp;quot; out loud, to no one in particular.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My sister asked me, &amp;quot;What?&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I said, &amp;quot;I&amp;#39;m almost a senior ...&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It&amp;#39;s not exactly the same reality slapping me in the face ... but it was a reminder that, in a few short years, everything I once knew as normal and routine is going to change. Am I ready? I was always finding the damn thumbtacks with my FEET. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know what you mean about being 8. I don&amp;#39;t think it&amp;#39;s a weakness but more so a feeling that as you grow older we all start to realize that life is hard. It&amp;#39;s work no matter what it is you do.
